Who are we

TRIBE: Total Sports Park, Respect, Integrity, Believe, Encourage

We built TRIBE Volleyball Club around families and pride ourselves on having a balanced approach to scheduling and competition!

We believe that family should be a top priority.  We also believe that our players deserve the very best training even though they are not in a program that demands they play every weekend, travel around the country, or play on Holiday weekends!

TRIBE offers something for everyone.  If you are a multi-sport athlete but still want to compete at a high level, that is what we will strive for.  If you are an athlete that does not plan on playing in college but want to play  because you love the sport and want to enjoy it a higher level, that is what we will strive for.  If you are younger and have a goal of playing in high school, we will strive to prepare you for that. If you are wanting to play at the next level, we have National teams that will compete at a high level and travel out of state.

TRIBE is also hand selecting our coaches.  At all levels, you will have coaches that are knowledgeable and passionate about coaching and bringing your game to the next level.

We want players with passion, commitment, work ethic, and a competitive spirit.  If that's you, join us in making TRIBE Volleyball Club a force in Southeast Michigan!

Hello, my name is Mandy DeHondt. I am going on my thirteenth year coaching volleyball. I coached varsity and middle school at Capac High School for five years and am currently coaching varsity, freshman and eighth grade in my home town at Almont High School where I have been since 2013. This is my second year coaching club and I’m excited to be a part of the Tribe community.

Alexia Manson

Hi, I’m Alexia Mason, I am currently a sophomore in college at St. Clair County Community College. I am hoping to pursue an education in nursing. I just inished my second season of college volleyball (my first season was played at Alma College) at St. Clair County Community College. I have been playing volleyball at a competitive level for nine years, seven of those nine years were club volleyball and the last two were collegiate. In high school my team was state runner-up my senior year, and we were a semi-finalist my junior year, making history both times. My senior year I was also voted Blue Water Player of the Year. I am excited to have the opportunity to continue being involved in the sport that changed my life.

Amalia Aguinaga

I have been coaching club volleyball now for 2 years, but coached high school volleyball for 6. I coached both Freshman and JV at Romeo High School. Playing volleyball myself all through high school, some in college and currently, I have a love and passion for the sport. I also have a passion to help build self-esteem, confidence and character with the girls that I coach and do my very best to make the season a great experience! Outside of volleyball, I am a wife and a homeschooling mom to two boys: Landen and Crishten. I am also a published author and I assist my husband as a youth group leader when I have the time. I am looking forward to a great club season at Tribe!
